Brunch spots are the new buzz– sometimes I feel like my weekends are one brunch after another. But there’s truly nothing better than amazing food, good friends and drinks before noon! My high school girlfriends and I got together to celebrate one of their engagements at Puritan & Company in Cambridge.

Puritan is a fantastic brunch spot with a rustic feel and farm to table menu. Their Sunday Brunch menu is not to be missed– from pastries to tasty cocktails to fresh eggs. We started with the pastry basket with a lavender lemon croissant donut, chocolate croissant and bacon & gruyere pinwheel.

And the cashew sticky bun is not to be missed, either! Easily split, we must have shared it six ways.

You couldn’t go wrong with any of the main dishes– a biscuit breakfast sandwich, sourdough griddle cakes with honey butter, both savory and sweet options are plenty. I ordered the duck & green onion hash topped with two fresh eggs and herbed crème-fraîche. There were no leftovers, not a bite!

Loved our time together (when the boys pulled out their phones after the fifteenth gossip story, I knew our catch-up was a success)!
