I blame my love of cheese on my dad, particularly my love for grilled cheese when it’s cold outside. Growing up, every expedition into the snow would end with his homemade grilled cheese and tomato soup. So with today’s impending stormy weather, I was craving comfort food.

Enter, Roxy’s. I first found them in college when their food truck would park near campus. I’ve been known to wait in summer heat and pouring rain for one of their grille cheeses. So when they opened up their Allston brick and mortar store in May, I ventured over. It was as if I’d stepped into one of their blue and yellow food trucks!

I tend to stick to what I know when it comes to ordering, so I had the Green Muenster (muenster cheese, bacon and guacamole). My friend Emily had the Allston (goat cheese, fig jam, caramelized onions, arugula). Neither of us were disappointed and not one bite remained.
