This year’s Florida trip was another one for the books! I’m so grateful that we can get away each year when the winter feels like it will never end. And boy did it feel that way (it was -12 the morning we left!).

We mostly spent our time at the beach and going out to dinners. We mixed in a little golf and some shopping, too!

The feeling of sand between my toes was so welcome- it was really SO glorious not wearing boots! I definitely didn’t get as much reading done as I planned, but that’s the whole point of vacation, right? We even had a visit from some dolphins a couple of the days. They came right up near the shore as they followed small schools of fish.

Barefoot Beach sunsets are my favorite and we made sure we didn’t miss it this year! The colors were ABSOLUTELY perfect! I have so many amazing pictures from that night, it will probably become its own post.

The change in color palette alone was worth the trip. I think I had forgotten what green grass and blue skies did for you!

An afternoon lunch at La Playa was the highlight of last year’s trip, so we scooted over there again. This time I had the fish tacos and the most delicious margarita! You can enjoy their restaurant, Baleen, even if you aren’t a guest at the resort. It’s one of the few true on-the-beach dining spots in Naples.

An evening of strolling and shopping is always on our list of things to do. This new-to-me shop FantaSea is any sea-loving person’s dream! A little house by the ocean would be perfect for all of the little things in this store.

Side note: I may have gone to Home Goods one rainy night this week and bought a coral centerpiece and turquoise glass jars…

I even brought a little piece of Florida home with me.
